Litier Bed
Forgotten Woods, 2012 Rio Puelo Valley is a high mountain valley in The Andes. Its river runs from Argentina to the Pacific Ocean.
For years local people tried to harvest native woods but the hard rains, the growing lush forest and the remoteness made the effort worthless.
However, many trees were cut and left lying in the forest with seedlings, mosses and lichens growing on them.
The wood of a Cipres tree is a light color wood with dense grain and strong resistance to the weather and humidity.
The backing of this bed is made of a 1800yr old cypress slab. The tree where the wood comes from is a tree torn down 50yrs ago and left lying in the riverside of Puelo River. Solo.jpg
